Frequently Asked Questions

What does the SSA do?
The SSA is a 4-channel real-time audio signal analyzer. It shows live oscilloscope waveforms, FFT frequency spectrum, THD+N distortion measurements, and RMS and peak voltage on a color touchscreen. It lets you see exactly what your signal chain is doing, like lab equipment purpose-built for car audio.
Does the SSA add any distortion or coloration to my signal?
No. The SSA is a passive inline pass-through with no active components in the signal path, designed for full transparency. It measures flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, so your audio signal is completely unaffected.
How many channels does the SSA monitor?
Four. You can analyze all four outputs of a DSP, head unit, or processor simultaneously on the built-in touchscreen.
How is the SSA different from a standalone oscilloscope?
The SSA combines oscilloscope, FFT spectrum analyzer, THD+N meter, and voltage monitor in a single portable unit purpose-built for car audio tuning. An oscilloscope alone only shows waveforms.
Does the SSA integrate with the WVC?
Yes. The SSA can report signal data to your WVC base station, including clip detection. When a clipped signal is detected, the WVC can automatically mute or reduce volume to protect your amplifiers and speakers.
