Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how lf-audio.com (the “Site” or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

Contact

After reviewing this policy, if you have additional questions, want more information about our privacy practices, or would like to make a complaint, please contact us by e-mail at contact@lf-audio.com

Collecting Personal Information

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information about an identifiable individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. See the list below for more information about what Personal Information we collect and why.

  • Device information
    • Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
    • Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels
    • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify
    • Shared for advertising: with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (including YouTube). Their tools on the Site may record it. See "Behavioural Advertising" below.
    • Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site
  • Order information
    • Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
    • Source of collection: collected from you.
    • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify
    • Shared for advertising: with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (including YouTube). Shopify may send them your order. See "Behavioural Advertising" below.
    • Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.

Your base station keeps a log of how it runs. It notes things like voltage, heat, volume, restarts, setting changes, pairing, connection drops and errors. New entries replace the oldest. It never holds your name, location, WiFi name or password, or any sound. A factory reset does not erase it.

If your base station comes to us for repair, the log notes our repair number. That links the log to your repair request.

The log leaves your base station in only two ways:

  • The LF Audio app sends it to us. See "Share base station log" in the LF Audio app part of this policy.
  • Your base station comes to us for repair, warranty or return. Our support team may read the log with a cable. It helps us find what went wrong. We may keep it with your repair, warranty or return request, which has your name and email.

Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

  • We use Shopify to power our online store. You can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Business transfers

If LF Audio (MariusSoft LLC) is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of its business or assets, we may disclose and transfer your personal information, including information collected through our website, app and devices, to the buyer or successor and its advisors as part of that transaction. The successor may use it only in line with this Privacy Policy unless it notifies you of changes and, where the law requires, obtains your consent.

Behavioural Advertising

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For example:

  • We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. You can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Our store is linked to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (including YouTube). Their tools on the Site may record what you view and buy. When you order, Shopify may also send them your order details. This happens between Shopify's servers and theirs. Your order details can include your name, email, phone number and address. They can also include what you bought and what you paid. Some of it may be scrambled first. They can still match it to you. They use it to measure our ads. They may also use it to show you our ads. They may use it to choose other ads you see, too. The ad settings below can limit the ads you see. They do not stop Shopify from sending your order. You can read how Meta uses your information here: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at https://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.

Lawful basis

Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), if you are a resident of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), we process your personal information under the following lawful bases:

  • Your consent;
  • The performance of the contract between you and the Site;
  • Compliance with our legal obligations;
  • To protect your vital interests;
  • To perform a task carried out in the public interest;
  • For our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information. For more information on your right of erasure, please see the ‘Your rights’ section below.

Automatic decision-making

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (which includes profiling), when that decision-making has a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you.

We DO NOT engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

  • Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
  • Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.

The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.

You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our website may no longer be fully accessible.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser’s help file or through such sites as: www.allaboutcookies.org.

Additionally, please note that blocking cookies may not completely prevent how we share information with third parties such as our advertising partners. To exercise your rights or opt-out of certain uses of your information by these parties, please follow the instructions in the “Behavioural Advertising” section above.

Do Not Track

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

The LF Audio app

LF Audio makes your base station and the LF Audio app. This part says what the app sends to LF Audio. It says why, and how to stop it.

LF Audio, 231 E. Imperial Hwy, Fullerton CA 92835. Questions about your data? Email contact@lf-audio.com.

Your choices

The app can send us three kinds of data:

  • Share usage data
  • Send Connection Diagnostics
  • Share base station log

Whether you can choose depends on your phone. The app asks you about them:

  • On an iPhone. The app always asks.
  • On Android, if your phone's mobile network or SIM card is from one of these places:
    • The EU, with its overseas regions and the Aland Islands
    • Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway
    • The UK, Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man
    • Switzerland
  • On Android, if it cannot tell where the phone is from. For example, a tablet with no SIM card.

Where the app asks you. It asks on a screen called Privacy choices. You tap Share or Don't share for each one. Later, you can change each one in Settings > Privacy. There is a switch for each one. You can turn each one on or off at any time.

On Android everywhere else. The app can tell where your phone is from, and it is not one of the places above. Then all three are on. If you turned one off before, it stays off. The app does not ask you. It has no switches for them.

The app asks about Share base station log only after your phone connects to a base station that can share its log.

On Android, the app checks again each time it opens, until you answer. Is your phone now from one of the places above? Then the app stops sending and asks you. Turning a switch on or off in Settings > Privacy also counts as your answer.

The app checks the network and SIM country on your phone. It never sends that country to us. It never saves it.

Until you answer, the app sends nothing for these switches. What it is holding stays on your phone. If you tap Share, it is sent. If you tap Don't share, it is deleted. While it waits, it does not read your base station's log.

Share usage data

When you open the app, it sends us:

  • A random number made when the app was installed. It is not your phone's ad ID.
  • The app version.
  • Your phone's make, model and system version.
  • Which LF Audio products you use, their firmware versions, and how many you have.
  • How many times you used some features: app opens, recordings, video captures, the tone generator, firmware updates, new pairings and support chats.
  • How many times you used the help articles. For example, opens, searches, Yes or No answers and shares.
  • How many times you used the Shop tab. For example, product views, items added to the cart, checkouts and orders.
  • How many times product suggestions on device pages were shown, tapped or closed.
  • How many times the app asked for an app store rating.

For this app report, we do not save your internet address. (Update checks from your devices are different. See "Update checks from your LF Audio devices.")

If you are signed in, we save this with your account. If you are not signed in, it is not linked to an account.

It never includes device names, Bluetooth addresses, WiFi network names or your exact location.

  • Why: to see which products and features people use, so we know what to improve.
  • How long: we keep one report for each install of the app. Each new report updates it. We delete it 180 days after the app last sent one.
  • To stop: if the app asks you, turn off Share usage data in Settings > Privacy. The app stops sending. What it already sent is not deleted. It is deleted after 180 days. Is it saved with your account? Then we can delete it sooner. Email contact@lf-audio.com from your account's email address. If you were signed out when the app last sent it, it is not linked to you. We cannot find it, so it stays until its 180 days end.
  • On Android everywhere else: Share usage data is on. If you turned it off before, it stays off. The app has no switch for it. If we delete what it sent, it keeps sending new reports.
  • If you delete your account: we delete the usage data saved with your account. Where the app asks you, it asks you about usage data again. On Android everywhere else, it does not ask. Share usage data stays as it was.

Help articles. Each help article in the app asks "Was this helpful?" If you tap Yes or No, the app sends us your answer. It also sends which article it was and the app version. It sends the random number made when the app was installed, too. It sends this even if Share usage data is off. If you are signed in, we save it with your account.

Send Connection Diagnostics

This works only when you are signed in.

When a device keeps losing its connection, the app records its own connection log. It sends the log to our support team. You can also start a recording yourself. Go to the Support tab and tap Record now.

A recording stops when the connection works again, when you tap Stop recording, or after 10 minutes.

What it holds:

  • The app's messages about finding and connecting to your devices. These can include device names, Bluetooth addresses and WiFi network names.
  • Your phone's make, model and system version.
  • Whether Bluetooth is on, and how many devices are connected or paired.
  • Whether the app may use Bluetooth and location, and whether location is turned on. It never holds your location.
  • Linked to you: yes. We save it with your account and your email address. Each recording gets a short code that starts with "D-". You can give that code to our support team.
  • Why: to find and fix connection problems.
  • How long: we delete it 7 days after it reaches us.
  • To stop: if the app asks you, turn off Send Connection Diagnostics in Settings > Privacy. Any recording stops right away. Anything not sent yet is deleted from your phone. Signing out does the same.
  • On Android everywhere else: Send Connection Diagnostics is on whenever you are signed in. If you turned it off before, it stays off. The app has no switch for it.

Share base station log

The app can send your base station's log to LF Audio. Whether it asks you first depends on your phone:

  • On an iPhone, the app asks you on the Privacy choices screen. Nothing is sent until you tap Share.
  • On Android, it asks you the same way in some places. They are listed in "Your choices" above. It also asks if it cannot tell where your phone is from. Nothing is sent until you tap Share.
  • On Android everywhere else, sharing is on. If you turned it off before, it stays off. The app does not ask you, and it has no switch for it.

If the app asks you, you can turn it on or off any time in Settings > Privacy.

What the app sends:

  • Your base station's log. It shows:
    • Your supply voltage and temperature, and when the voltage went too low or too high.
    • When the base station started, restarted or crashed. For a crash, a short technical note.
    • When the Intelligent Drive System (IDS) stepped in.
    • When an input signal was too strong, and how long each channel clipped.
    • How long the volume sat at each level.
    • How long each input had a signal, on models that measure it.
    • When your system was on.
    • When a setting changed. For a number, the old and new value. For a name, only that it changed.
    • When a knob, display, other base station or phone was paired or removed. For phones, only how many.
    • When a knob or display lost its link.
    • When its firmware was updated.
    • Wireless and memory health numbers.
    • Your base station's ID, and the network addresses of its chips. If a board is replaced, this shows it.
    • Part of the network address of each knob, display or other base station paired to it.
    • Our repair number, if it was in for repair.
  • A copy of your base station's settings, only when they change. It includes the names you gave your channels and groups. It includes the model and firmware of each knob. It never includes your WiFi name or password, or your base station's name.
  • A Log ID. Your phone makes this random number. It is not your account. It is not the number used for usage data. After the app first sends the log, you can see it in Settings. If the app asks you about sharing, it is in Settings > Privacy. If not, it is at the bottom of Settings.

The log never shows where you are.

When it is sent. The app reads the log while your phone is connected to your base station. It sends it later, when your phone has internet.

The first time. The first time the app shares your base station's log, it also sends the older history saved in your base station. Where sharing starts on, this happens without a tap. If you bought it used, this can include history from before you owned it. It stops at the last time the seller's LF Audio app connected to it.

After that, the app sends new entries as they are made. If you turn sharing off and on again, it starts from that moment.

Who reads it. Our support team and engineers. We use it to help you, to handle repair and warranty, and to make our products better.

We also add up numbers from all shared logs. For example, how often a firmware version restarts. These totals have no base station ID, no network address and no person in them. We keep these totals with no end date.

How it is linked to you.

  • The log is filed under your base station's ID.
  • If you added this base station to your account in the app, we can match the log to your account.
  • The repair number links the log to your repair request.
  • When the app sends, our servers see your phone's internet address. We keep only a scrambled code made from it, to stop abuse. We delete that code within two days after its last use.

How long we keep it. 24 months from when it is sent. Then we delete it. Some faults come back every winter, like battery and charging faults. Two years lets us compare one winter with the next. It also covers the time a warranty claim can take.

Your choice. If the app asks you, it sends the log only after you tap Share. You can turn it off at any time in Settings > Privacy. That stops new sending. It does not delete what we already have. To delete it, email us.

On Android everywhere else, the app does not ask you, and it has no switch for it. It keeps sending, unless you turned it off before. We can still delete what we have. Email us.

To stop sharing. If the app asks you, turn off Share base station log in Settings > Privacy.

  • The app stops sending right away.
  • Anything not sent yet is deleted from your phone.
  • What was already sent is not deleted. It stays until its 24 months end.
  • Each phone sends on its own. Turning it off on one phone does not stop another phone that shares this base station.

On Android everywhere else, the app has no switch for it. It keeps sending, unless you turned it off before. If we delete the log, new entries keep coming from that phone.

To have the log deleted. Email contact@lf-audio.com and ask us to delete your base station's log. Anyone can ask, wherever you live. You do not need an account. Tell us your Log ID if you have it. Deleting the app loses your Log ID, so write it down first. If you do not have it, email us anyway.

If you delete your account. The log belongs to your base station, not your account. Deleting your account does not delete the log. It removes the link between your account and your base station. To have the log deleted, email us.

If you sell your base station. Its log stays in it. A factory reset does not erase it. The new owner's app can send some of your history the first time it shares the log. It stops at the last time your LF Audio app connected to it.

Google Firebase keeps this data too, in the United States.

Error reports

When something goes wrong in the app, it may send us a short error report. It does this whatever you choose above.

A report holds the error, a few details about what the app was doing, the app version, and whether you use iPhone or Android. Some reports also hold your base station's ID, model and firmware version. If you are signed in, it is saved with your account and your email address.

  • Why: to find and fix bugs.
  • How long: we delete each report after 90 days. We keep a count of how often each kind of error happens, with one example of it. The count has no account or email in it.
  • If you delete your account: reports already sent stay until their 90 days end.

Your LF Audio account

You can use the app without an account. You need one for:

  • Recording sessions
  • Adding devices to your account
  • Warranty requests
  • Support chat

When you sign in, we keep:

  • Your email address.
  • How you signed in: Google, Apple, or a link or code we email you.
  • Your name, only if you sign in with Google.
  • Linked to you: yes. This is your account.
  • Why: to sign you in, and to keep your things together.
  • How long: until you delete your account.
  • To delete it: see "Delete your account" below.

Recording sessions

A recording session saves a device's readings to your account. It is a data recording, not a video. You need to be signed in.

You start one from the device's page. If the device is not in your account yet, the app asks to add it first.

A recording session holds:

  • The device's ID, model, firmware and manufacture date.
  • The names of its channels and channel groups.
  • Its readings over time, such as voltage, temperature and volume.
  • When a channel clips, a short snapshot of the signal. It is not a sound recording.
  • Who sees it: you, and our support team when you ask us for help.
  • Linked to you: yes. We save it with your account.
  • Why: so you can look back at how your system ran, and so we can help you.
  • How long: until you delete it.
  • To delete it: open it at app.lf-audio.com and use Delete. After 30 days it is gone for good. Removing a device from your account deletes its recording sessions. So does deleting your account. Swiping a session away in the app removes only the copy on your phone.

Video recordings

You make video recordings in the Record tab. The app draws your device's readings over the video.

Video recordings stay on your phone. The app saves them to your phone's gallery. We never get them. We get only a count of how many you made, and only if Share usage data is on.

A video you add to a support chat or a warranty request is different. We do get that one. See those parts below.

Devices in your account

When you are signed in, the app may ask "Add to your account?" for a device. You can also add a device from its page, or when you start a recording session. If you add it, we keep:

  • The device's ID, model, firmware and manufacture date.
  • The name you gave it, and its channel names. The app updates them when they change.
  • The knobs paired to your base station: their model, firmware, and part of their network address.

We also keep a short summary of the kinds of LF Audio products you own. We make it from the devices in your account. We add what you bought at lf-audio.com with the same email. We use it to choose which offers to send you. We send offers only if Offers & Promotions is on.

  • Who sees it: you, at app.lf-audio.com. Our support team can see which account a device is in.
  • Linked to you: yes.
  • Why: to show your devices in your account, to let you record, to help with warranty, and to choose offers.
  • How long: until you remove the device or delete your account. If someone else adds the device, it moves to their account. You keep your past recording sessions.
  • To remove a device: on the device's Account card, tap Remove from my account. This also deletes its recording sessions.

Warranty requests

You can ask for a warranty repair or a return in the Support tab. You need to be signed in.

To help you choose, the app shows your orders from lf-audio.com. It finds them by your email.

A request holds:

  • Your name.
  • Your phone number and return address, if you add them.
  • Your order and which items, or a note about what you bought.
  • Why you are asking, and the messages you send.
  • Photos and videos you add.
  • A return tracking number, if you add one.
  • Who sees it: our support team. We email you about it.
  • AI help: our team may use Anthropic's AI to help write a reply. It gets your request and your messages. A person reads every reply before it is sent.
  • Linked to you: yes. We save it with your email address.
  • Why: to handle your repair or return.
  • How long: we keep it with no set end date.
  • If you delete your account: we keep it.
  • To have it deleted: email contact@lf-audio.com.

Support chat

You can chat with our support team in the Support tab. You need to be signed in.

A chat holds:

  • Your messages, and the photos and videos you add.
  • Your email address, and your name if we have it.
  • Whether you use iPhone or Android, the app version, and your phone's language and region setting.
  • Who sees it: our support team. They may also see your orders from lf-audio.com.
  • AI help: our team may send your chat to Anthropic's AI. The AI writes a draft reply. It gets your messages and photos. It also gets what we know about you as a customer, such as your name, email and orders. A person reads every reply before it is sent.
  • Linked to you: yes. We save it with your account and your email address.
  • Why: to answer your questions.
  • How long: we keep chats, with their photos and videos, with no set end date.
  • If you delete your account: we keep your chats.
  • To have it deleted: email contact@lf-audio.com.

If you do not read a reply in the app, we may email it to you.

Notifications

To find the switches, open Settings and tap Notifications:

  • Firmware Updates
  • Warranty & Return Updates
  • Chat Replies
  • Offers & Promotions

Offers & Promotions starts off. The other three start on.

Firmware Updates checks for new firmware once a day. It sends only each device's model and firmware version. Nothing in it names you.

The other three work only when you are signed in. Your phone must also allow the app's notifications. Then the app sends our servers a code for your phone. Google uses this code to deliver our notifications. On an iPhone, Apple delivers them too.

When we send you an offer, we note it. If you tap the offer, the app tells us.

Not signed in, with Offers & Promotions on? Then the app checks our public list of offers. It picks offers on your phone. It sends nothing about you.

  • Linked to you: yes, when you are signed in. We save the code with your account.
  • Why: to tell you about replies, warranty updates and offers.
  • How long: we keep the code until you turn off Warranty & Return Updates, Chat Replies and Offers & Promotions. We also remove it when you sign out, when it stops working, or when you delete your account. We keep the notes about offers with no set end date, even after you delete your account.
  • To stop: turn off a switch to stop that kind of notification. Or turn off the app's notifications in your phone's settings.

Back in stock alerts

An item in the Shop tab may be sold out. Then you can tap "Notify me when it's back." This works only when you are signed in.

We save the item, its name and when you asked.

  • Linked to you: yes. We save it with your account.
  • Why: to tell you when the item is for sale again.
  • How long: when it is for sale again, we send one notification. It says "Back in stock." Then we delete the alert. We also delete it after 180 days. We delete it if the item leaves our store. We delete it when you delete your account.
  • To stop: tap "We'll let you know" on the item. There is no switch for it in Settings. You can also turn off the app's notifications in your phone's settings.

Delete your account

You can delete your account in the app:

  1. Tap the gear at the top right. This opens Settings.
  2. In Account, tap Delete account.
  3. Tap Delete account again to confirm.

You can also email contact@lf-audio.com. Send it from your account's email address. A person on our team will delete it. We only do this for email from that address. From any other address, we ask you to use the app.

Our help page shows each step: help.lf-audio.com/app/delete-account.

When you delete your account, we delete:

  • Your account and sign-in, with your email address and name.
  • All recording sessions saved to your account.
  • The devices in your account, with their names and channel names.
  • Your notification settings and the code for your phone.
  • Usage data saved with your account.
  • Your Back in stock alerts from the Shop tab.
  • The summary we use to choose offers.

Did you sign in with Apple? Then the app can also ask Apple to end that sign-in. It does this only on an iPhone. And only when you delete your account in the app. Apple asks you to confirm first. If you do not confirm, Apple is not told. Your account is still deleted.

We keep these:

  • Warranty requests. We keep them with no set end date.
  • Support chats, with their photos and videos. We keep them with no set end date.
  • Error reports. We delete each one 90 days after it reaches us.
  • Connection Diagnostics. We delete each one 7 days after it reaches us.
  • Your base station's log, if it was shared. We delete it 24 months after it was sent. It is no longer linked to your account.
  • A note of the offers we sent you, and which you opened. It has an account number, but no name or email. We keep it with no set end date.
  • Your answers to "Was this helpful?" in the app. Each one has the article and the app version. It also has the random number made when the app was installed. If you were signed in, it has your old account number. It has no name or email.

To have any of these deleted, email contact@lf-audio.com.

Who keeps this data

Google Firebase runs our servers. This data is stored in the United States.

Some companies help us with parts of it. They work for us:

  • Shopify runs our store. We use it to find your orders.
  • Google sends our emails and the app's notifications. On an iPhone, Apple delivers them too.
  • Anthropic's AI may help our team write replies to support chats and warranty requests. A person reads every reply before it is sent.

We do not sell this data. We do not use it to track you in other apps or on other websites. We never give your email to ad companies.

Update checks from your LF Audio devices.

This is separate from the app. Your base station asks our servers if a firmware update is ready. Our displays, knobs and voltmeters do the same when they look for an update over WiFi.

Each check sends:

  • The device's model and hardware version.
  • Its firmware version.
  • Its WiFi network address. This number is built into the device. We use it as the device's ID.
  • A few numbers about its memory.
  • A base station may also send its own ID number.

What we keep:

  • One record for each device for each day it checks.
  • The record holds what the device sent, how many times it checked that day, and when it last checked.
  • It also holds the internet address the check came from, and the country our servers saw for it. This is the address of the network the device used, such as your home WiFi or your phone's hotspot.
  • We also keep the firmware version we last saw for the device. When a base station sends its own ID, we keep which ID goes with which WiFi network address.
  • If a check cannot be read, we keep what it sent in the same way, so we can find the fault.

During an update, your base station or display also sends us a record of that update:

  • When the update started and ended, how long it took, and whether it worked.
  • The firmware versions before and after.
  • The name and channel of the WiFi network it used.
  • On some devices, how many times it has started, and the date its firmware was built.
  • On some base stations, the supply voltage when the update started.
  • The device's own log of the update. These are short lines about each step and what went wrong.

We keep each update record under the device's WiFi network address. We also keep the device's latest details: model, hardware and firmware versions, the WiFi network name and channel, how many updates it has started, and how the last one ended. To limit how often a device can start an update, we keep the times of its recent updates.

  • Why: to offer each device the right update, to limit how often one device can ask, to find out why an update failed, and to help our support team see which version a device runs.
  • Who sees it: only LF Audio staff.
  • Linked to you: these records hold no account or email. If you added your base station to your account in the app, we can match its records to your account.
  • How long: we keep these records with no set end date.

Google Firebase keeps these records for us. They are stored in the United States.
