We have discovered that the second batch of WVC-PRO's, shipped on and after September 20th, 2024, will not turn off when the REM power input pin is powered off.
What you can do:
You can run an automotive grade relay (with a built in flyback diode) before the power input / remote pins of the WVC-PRO. This will allow your radio, DSP, or other signal source to turn on the relay which will then feed power and remote into the WVC-PRO.
These relays are readily available for about $8 at your local auto parts store or can be found on Amazon.
Cause:
We have determined that the the built in DC to DC converter is generating 4v on the REM control input pin which leaves the unit in a constant on state.
We have found a supplier which has compatible parts - we expect to receive them in Late October allowing us to desolder and resolder the new parts to ship out existing WVC-PRO orders by early November.
